Montoroso 2001

Almost to Montoroso on the train.

That is Sherman's head poking out of the window.

This was taken standing next to the old military bunker seen in the photo below. Just to the right of the I remember seeing a nude couple on the rocks. I have no idea how that got out there and am not at liberty to say what they were doing. Those crazy Italians. It's all wine and love over there.

The bunker I mentioned, You can see Montoroso in the background. The first night here we slept right outside this bunker. The town's hotels were all booked by none other than tons of American kids, just like us. We were not alone there were about 8-10 others also exiled to this peak. We had originally commandeered the bunker to sleep in, but after returning from a trip into town the bunker had been overtaken by true French gypsies. Strange....

Another view from next to the bunker. Spear fisherman would frequent the area between the shore and the jetties and bring their kill to street vendors who would clean the fish on the spot to sell.

The beach at Montoroso. That's Will checking out the scenery. The beach was "top optional" , tops should have been MADATORY! Not a pretty sight in most cases.
